Great female artists such as Felice Rix influenced the style of the Vienna Secession (Wiener Werkstaette) with wonderful patterns on textiles and expressive ceramics. Their works in all fields of art from a community of artists and designers founded in Vienna in 1897. Over 180 women artists. Felice Rix studied in the movement under Josef Hoffmann. The purpose of the workshop was to renew applied arts and beautify life using everyday objects designed by artists. After relocating to Kyoto with her Japanese husband and architect Isaburo Ueno, Felice became a major influence on the modern Japanese art scene.
