A comet is tearing through space straight towards Earth and no one knows how to save themselves! Will it destroy everyone and everything? Moomin decides to look into the matter, to try to find a solution. Together with Sniffin, they set off and throw themselves headlong into an adventure, which will certainly be full of dangers and promises. Snufkin will meet them and together they will reach the Observatory, at the top of the Lonely Mountains, to ask the wise professors and learn about the Comet. On their way, they encounter crocodiles, treasures, and the Snorkin brothers. And they learn that the Comet will not fall in some distant part of the Earth, but precisely… in Moomin Valley!

"Every time I reread their stories, the Moomins seem wiser, more entertaining than before. They are the perfect marriage of words and images."
Philip Pullman

The Moomin family, with their many and varied relatives and friends, who are occasionally hosted at the House in the Valley, are among the greatest characters that children's literature has to offer. Their stories, written and illustrated by Tove Jansson, unfold in a magical world inhabited by creatures of imagination - but with such recognizable human characteristics! Like all great works of children's literature, they are not only addressed to children, but to readers of all ages.
