When mom and dad disappear, the two frogs are left alone in the world. The blackbird, the mole and the hedgehog would love to help them, but they don't know how. Then the mother mouse appears and decides to take them with her, because "the frogs are children. And all children need a place to live and play, good food and someone to love them".
The famous hero Max and his friends - known from the story "We all play with this ball" - in another story about solidarity, mutual aid and the value of each person in a society.
Brigitte Wenninger takes us on a unique journey through her stories into the world of children. She was born in 1960 in Kufstein, Austria, and grew up in a large family. She worked for twenty years as a kindergarten teacher before dedicating herself exclusively to writing. Her work, as well as the gift of a special and sensitive look at the world of childhood, led her to create characters with whom children could fully identify, since the adventures of these heroes were mirrors of their own world.
