A huge and lonely lion arrived one day by train in Paris, without luggage. His first time in the big city, he was a little scared. Everything seemed foreign and threatening. But, little by little, he learns to love it, both it and its people.
"The inspiration for the lion of the story was the lion sculpture on the Place d'Enfer-Rossereau in Paris. The work was created by the architect Auguste Bartholdi between 1876 and 1880. I always wondered why Parisians love it so much. Probably because it looks very happy right where it is."
